Sunrise Writing Group: Be Prepared & Grounded

2025 presents challenges that can seem overwhelming and stressful. Creative, expressive writing is a proven means to find ways to be resilient and persevere. This year, at the Sunrise Project Writing group, each month, I intend to inspire you for the journey that lies ahead. In January, the theme will be Trusting Yourself.

I will be aware of myself as one who creates.

The goal of injustice is to breed passivity. To counteract this, we can stay in touch with our own personal power. One way is to see ourselves as people who create, whether it’s cooking a meal, organizing a dazzling dramatic action, knitting a hat, making a sign, playing the piano, or writing a poem.

You do not need any writing experience to participate. Bring your favorite writing tools and maybe a friend - make sure they RSVP! Space is limited to 8. There is a tip jar…
